"WHAT IS IT?"

In the Old Testament, “manna” was the miraculous bread God fed the Israelites during their 40 year sojourn in the wilderness. The word itself is a “curious” word. In the Hebrew it literally means “what is it?” Exactly. What IS it? What distinguishes MANNA as a curious choice for edu-travel?

Our "IT" factor boils down to THREE DISTINCTIVES:

 

WE WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS.

  • Our tour registration limit is 42 persons or one bus-load. More than one bus and things get messy, trust me...for me (as leader) and you, as a guest. So we believe "less is more." That's why we cap it at 42. A smaller number allows us to spend more time at sites, dine and travel faster, and get to know each other better. Of course, a single church could book a WHOLE tour when announced...but there's no way reserve a certain number of seats. When registration opens for the tour (about a year in advance), it's first pay, first reserved. Individuals and couples are always free to jump on, if there's space. So it doesn't matter if you're flying solo or as a couple, the sooner you register, the better. We want to fill all 42 seats. OUR COSTS INCLUDE JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING.

  • We try to eliminate all surprises. Your registration includes all flights, hotels, buses, tour guides, meals (breakfast and dinner while in country only), and all gratuities. Consequently, your on-tour costs are limited (lunches, personal needs, souvenirs). There are other caveats (like you pay for any upgrades, baggage fees or single room, but that's stated through our partner Imagine Tours and Travel (a highly-ranked and reputable Christian travel company).

WE WANT TO GIVE BACK TO CHURCHES, SCHOOLS OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT CHOOSE TO TRAVEL WITH US.

  • In fact, if you have a date and country YOU want to travel (at least a year in advance) and want me to lead it, we can schedule "exclusive" tours! But here's the deal with ALL GROUPS who book with MANNA! Tours. When a GROUP registers 14 seats, they receive a FREE tour registration (so you get 15 for the price of 14). That's a $6-8K voucher. And when a group registers 28, you receive TWO FREE REGISTRATIONS. It's my way of saying thanks to my groups. We do need 20 persons to take a group (otherwise we lose money).

Finally, and most importantly, MANNA! Tours focus on EDU-TRAVEL. 

That means, your main guide (either me or a trusted co-guide) will be your lead "instructor" for the tour. In addition, every registrant receives a helpful WORKBOOK that includes maps, timelines, factoids, and biblical insights, plus plenty of space for your notes. We'll also hold informal, optional-attendance, daily "bull sessions" in the evening hours for Q&A and discussion. Sometimes these "sessions" are special walking tours to nearby sites or specialty shops/eateries. Surprise! Surprise!

We're not just going to tour sites, we want you to leave feeling more informed and educated about your Bible and church history.

Consequently, we will focus our initial tours on three locations:  Israel, Greece and Rome. Each of these 9-12 day trips will have extension 4 additional days to a different country to continue the study.

ISRAEL TRIPS focus on the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John), and Old Testament Survey.

GREECE TRIPS focus on Acts of the Apostles, Epistles and Revelation

ROME TRIPS focus on Church History: 1st century, Post-Apostolic and Middle Ages

In fact, anyone who takes all three trips (with extensions) will receive the equivalent of a ONE-YEAR BIBLE CERTIFICATE from MANNA! Educational Services International to celebrate your achievement.

We hope to partner with Bible colleges, Christian universities and seminaries to accept tours for transferable credits.

THREE IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • All MANNA! Tours have a minimum registration of 20 persons. We cannot take a trip with less. Consequently, a “free” registration for 14 means a total of 15. Counting the guide, that's 16. So another five are needed for the trip to happen, either from your church or outside registrations.

 

  • MANNA! Tours are advertised nationally and "first come, first served." Expect tours to include people from other churches, states, denominations and backgrounds.

 

  • MANNA! Tours will book "exclusive trips"** with any church, school or organization at any time of the year, provided: 1) A minimum of 25 individuals are registered within 6 months of departure; 2) Rick leads the Tour and serves as primary Guide. The local church pastor is encouraged to serve as co-leader; and 3) The tour is scheduled at least a year in advance through Rick and MANNA! Educational Services International.

*"Exclusive Trip" means all  registrants will be from the same church, school or organization.
